Growing Consensus: The Head of the Snake in Iran Must Be Neutralized

The attack on the Iranian regime’s consulate in Damascus on April 1st resulted in the deaths of seven senior commanders of the IRGC, including Tehran’s highest-ranking IRGC Quds Force commander in Syria, Mohammad Ali Zahedi, his deputy, and his chief of staff, according to state-run media in Iran.

Many experts have described this attack as one of the most significant military strikes against the Iranian regime since the elimination of the notorious Quds Force Commander, Qassem Soleimani, in 2020.

On April 3rd, the regime’s Council of the Coalition of Islamic Revolutionary Forces in Iran, which is close to Khamenei, stated, “Zahedi’s strategic role in the formation and strengthening of the resistance front, as well as the design and implementation of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, are great honors that will immortalize this commander in the history of the struggle against the occupying regime.”

This is not surprising to the Iranian Resistance, which has warned the free world numerous times since the establishment of the fundamentalist regime in 1979 that “the head of the snake” of war and terrorism in the region and beyond lies in Tehran. It has asserted that there will not be long-lasting peace and security in the Middle East, nor freedom for Iranians, as long as the clerical regime rules and the IRGC exists.

The key to effectively neutralizing the snake’s head lies in focusing on its internal vulnerabilities by supporting the Iranian people’s movement against religious tyranny as a prerequisite to establishing a democratic republic in Iran that promotes peace and security in the Middle East.
