Soona Samsami is the representative in the United States for Iran’s Parliament-in-exile, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
After the Iranian theocratic leadership unleashed a reign of terror against the pro-democracy parties in the country in 1981, Ms. Samsami stepped up her advocacy of human rights, with a special emphasis on women’s rights.
Alireza Jafarzadeh is the Deputy Director of the Washington office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. He is also the author of The Iran Threat (Palgrave MacMillan; New York 2008), and president of Strategic Policy Consulting.
Jafarzadeh is an Iranian policy expert who has been on the forefront of efforts to ensure that the Iranian regime does not acquire a nuclear weapon.
Ali Safavi is a member of Iran’s Parliament in Exile, National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and President of Near East Policy Research (NEPR), a consulting and policy analysis firm in Washington, DC.
A sociologist by career, Safavi studied and taught at UCLA, California State University Los Angeles and University of Michigan from 1972 until 1981.
